Joyce O'Tuel Baxley, age 78, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on October 23, 1936 to the late Everett and Doris Britt O'Tuel, Sr. She previously worked as a self-employed beautician. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, J.E. O'Tuel and Everett O'Tuel. Mrs. Baxley is survived by her husband, Gordon Baxley of the home; sons, Alan Baxley and wife, Annette of Wilmington and David Baxley and wife, Lisa of Lumberton; and four grandchildren, Vance and Leeann Baxley and Lindi and Kelly Baxley. Visitation will be on Monday, December 1, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Meadowbrook Cemetery with Rev. Bob Jordan officiating.
