Joshua Mitchell Willoughby, age 41 of Lumberton, NC passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026. He was born in Robeson County to Mitchell and Kaye Willoughby.

Josh is survived by his parents, his sister Kelli Campbell and husband Bobby Jr., his other sister Trisha Lawson and husband Jerry Wayne, his children whom he loved very much; Tristan Joshua (TJ), Liam Jase, Olivia Paige, and Waylon James Willoughby. He also leaves behind his nephews and niece, Dylan Campbell, Phillip Campbell and wife Kaitlyn, Nick Lawson, Nate Lawson, and Josie Lawson. He is also remembered by many people who loved him including his former spouses Rhonda Cooper Willoughby and April Willoughby. In addition to these special people he leaves behind a large and loving extended family who cherished and loved him dearly.

Those who knew him will remember his humor, generosity and the way he showed up for the people he loved. Above all he was a proud and dedicated father to his four children who were the center of his world.

A service to honor his life will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 11:00 am at East Lumberton Baptist Church in Lumberton.

He will be remembered always and missed beyond words.
