Joshua Phillip Currier, 41, of Lumberton, NC, ran into his Savior's arms on Saturday, September 16, 2023. He was born on September 4, 1982 in Dillon, SC, the son of the late Robert and the late Esta Lou (Walters) Currier.

Joshua cherished his family and is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Redinger Currier; his son, Theodore James "T.J." Lynn Currier, and his daughter, Macelyn "Mae Mae" Noelle Lou Currier, both of the home; his sisters and brother: Kimberly Windom (Ricky) of Fairmont, NC, Allison Pait (David), of Fair Play, SC, and Robert Currier (Aliceson) of Fairmont, NC; his father- and mother-in-law, Gary & Karen Redinger, of Shelocta, PA; his siblings by love, Burt Redinger (Julie) of Ewing, VA, Julie Fonvielle (John) of Tabor City, NC, Angela Shaver (Scott) of Evensville, TN, Jennifer Burton (Cliff) of Durham, NC, and Carol Redinger of Shelocta, PA; his nieces and nephews: Melissa Currier, Ricky Windom, Jr., Conner Pait, Alex Pait, Harley Currier, Emma Currier, Leah Currier, Zacharias Currier, Johanna Currier, Tanner Redinger, Peyton Redinger, Leigh Anne Meadows (Ryan), Stephen Shaver, Isabella Johnson (Forrest), Savannah Burton, Clifford Burton, and Caroline Burton; and special family friends: Sandra Carr, Travis & Julie Cox, Jonathan & Amanda Lovette, and Jay & Ashley Baugham.

He was a graduate of Fairmont High School, class of 2001, and Southeastern Community College, class of 2013. Joshua had worked at Frank's Furniture for several years and most recently worked at Walmart Store #1155 where he was in management.

Joshua loved the Lord with all his heart and was a faithful servant, ministering to children and youth at several churches. He enjoyed attending church and spending time with his Life Group.

Josh never met a stranger. He was the life of the party and enjoyed being the center of attention. He loved to collect Legos and Pops and talk to anyone who would listen about his collections. He had a photographic memory and could quote many books, movies, and songs at the drop of a hat, with his favorite movies being anything superhero! He was also a sports fanatic and enjoyed rooting for his beloved Carolina Tarheels.

Josh would want us to remember him by his bubbly personality and all the fond memories we shared with him. His love for his wife, children, and family was apparent and top priority.

Joshua was preceded in death by his parents; his maternal grandparents, Joe & Mayola Walters; his nephew, Andrew Windom; his nieces: Logan, Ravan, Zoey, Gabrielle, and Chloe Currier; and his brother-in-law, Kurt Redinger.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., located at 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church, 5089 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC. Burial to follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.

The family is requesting those who attend Joshua's Celebration of Life service to come dressed down and wear a superhero t-shirt or favorite movie t-shirt to honor Josh's memory.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting and would really appreciate monetary donations to help offset funeral expenses and unexpected medical bills.
