Josephine Nance Willoughby, 82, of Lumberton, NC died on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born in Bladen County, NC on December 14, 1929 to the late Joe Nance and the late Bessie Sykes Nance. She formerly worked as a machine operator for Jasper Textiles and a homemaker.

Mrs. Willoughby is survived by her husband, Von Edward Willoughby of the home; two sons, Clinton Willoughby and wife Cheryle and Mitchell Willoughby and wife Kay all of Lumberton; five daughters, Melba Faye Cox and husband Bobby of Lumberton, Betty Jo Connor and husband Buddy of Barnsville, Judy Powell and husband Kenneth of Lumberton, Carol Mishue and husband Frankie of Lumberton and Wanda Sue Willoughby of Lumberton; a sister, Beatrice Russ of Butters; thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Tyner and Rev. Robert Britt officiating. Burial will follow in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
