Josephine Jackson Tew, age 86, of Lumberton, NC, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025. She was born on January 14, 1939 to Zanie Jackson and Addie Lue Jackson in Robeson County, NC.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Allen "Buck" Tew.

She is survived by her three sons, Danny Tew (Cindy) of St. Pauls, NC, Donald Tew (Mary) of Lumberton, NC, and Barry Allen Tew of Tobemory, NC; three sisters, Evelyn Blackwell of Aberdeen, NC, Helen Grimsley of Tobemory, NC, and Bonnie Dawson of Parkton, NC; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Great Marsh Baptist Church Cemetery, 270 E. Great Marsh Church Road in St. Pauls, NC. A time of visitation will take place at the cemetery following the service.
