Mrs. Josephine Barrington Goode, age 79, of Orrum, NC, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Shoreland Healthcare & Retirement Center in Whiteville, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC to the late Lloyd and Effie Carter Barrington. She was a devoted member of Barnesville Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, J.C. Barrington; three sisters: Thelma Walters, Geneva Parker, and Alatha Patterson; a daughter, Tonya Hewitt; and a granddaughter, Sarah Yarborough.

She is survived by her husband who loved her for 60 years, Billy Goode; two daughters, Melissa Goode and Stephanie Ivey (Tony); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Barnesville Baptist Church in Barnesville, NC.
