Mr. Jon Emile Gorman, age 63, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on August 15, 1962 to the late William and Shirley Gorman. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Michael Gorman.

Jon was an ASE-certified mechanic who dedicated 12 years of service to Campbell's Used Cars. Skilled in many areas of repair, he especially enjoyed working on televisions and on computers. Jon loved spending time at the beach and by the ocean, where he found peace and happiness. He was also known for his tremendous sense of humor, bringing laughter and joy to those around him.

He is survived by his wife, Tonya Gorman of Lumberton, NC; daughters Charissa Taub (Andrew) of Cedar Grove, NJ, Christina Marie Gallagher (Tim) of Peramus, NJ; brothers, Michael Gorman of Portland, OR, and William Paul Gorman, Jr. (Sandy) of Roseburg, OR; sisters, Theresa Molsbergen (Michael) of Chowchilla, CA, Kathleen VanVacter (Chris) of Excelsior Springs, MO, Jenny Stephenson (Benjamin) of Modesto, CA, and Irene Gorman Millman of PA; and grandchildren Parker and Jackson.

A visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2026 at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton from 12:00pm – 1:30pm. A graveside service will follow on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton, NC, with Pastor Tim Williford officiating.
