John Wayne Rowland, age 78, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017. He was born December 18, 1938 in Robeson County to the late Woodrow & Elsie Newell Rowland. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was later self-employed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Becky Rowland.

He is survived by two sons: David Rowland and Tony Rowland, both of Lumberton; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Pattie Rowan and Shelby Hicks, both of Lumberton.

A time of visitation will take place on Thursday, November 23, 2017, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Family Cemetery.
