John Preston "Jack" Cashwell, Jr., age 84, died suddenly at home, Wednesday, May 25, 2016.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents John Preston Cashwell, Sr. and Annie Williams Cashwell.

Jack is survived by his wife Dorothy "Dot" Walters Cashwell; 2 sons: Rev. Jim Cashwell of Charlotte and Dr. John Cashwell and wife Mary Ammons  Cashwell of Concord; 8 grandchildren: Joshua Cashwell and wife Ashley, Elizabeth Tillery and husband Andy, Jared Cashwell, Erin Cashwell, Jacob Cashwell, Rachel Clark and husband Nolan, Rebekah Cashwell and Emily Cashwell; 2 great-granddaughters: Olive Cashwell and Emerson Tillery; 1 sister, Dorcas Boone of Charlotte; 2 brothers: Leslie Cashwell, and wife Joan of Irvington, VA and William "Bill" Cashwell and wife Sherry of Laurens, SC.

The family will receive friends at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton on Saturday June 4, 2016 from 1:00 until 2:00.  Graveside service will be held at Rowland Cemetery, Rowland, NC on Saturday, June 4, 2016  at 3:00.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 7th and Walnut Street, Lumberton, N.C.
