John Daniel McLamb, age 87, of Lumberton, NC died on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.  He was born in Johnston County, NC on May 11, 1930 to the late Willis Edgar and Ardelia Hargrave McLamb.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and then worked in farm equipment sales.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Edna Gray Davis; his wife of 58 years, Joyce Harris McLamb; brothers, Floyd, Lloyd, and Lethel McLamb; and sisters, Leola Wheeler and Maverine Edwards.

Mr. McLamb is survived by his sons, Tony McLamb (Maggie) of Wilmington, and Danny McLamb (Edwina) of Holly Ridge; daughter, Gina McLamb Burney (Michael) of Bladenboro; brothers, Dalton McLamb and Ray McLamb both of Benson; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Regan United Methodist Church at 3:00 PM with Rev. Danny McLamb and Rev. Gordon Caughill officiating.  Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM at the church
