John "Johnny" Knox Lovette, Jr., age 70, of Lumberton, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC.  He was born in Lumberton, NC on August 21, 1949 to the late John Knox Lovette and the late Corinne Britt Lovette.  He was a member of the US Army and Vietnam Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Johnny is survived by his son, John Lovette III of Miami, FL; two brothers, Kenneth Lovette (Cyndi) of Florence, SC and Jerry Lovette of Lumberton; three sisters, Janet Lundy, Cathy Inman and Ann Stone (W.J.), all of Lumberton.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 2:00-4:00PM at Long Branch Baptist Church.

A funeral service will follow the visitation on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 4:00 PM at Long Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Strickland officiating.  Burial will follow at Britt Family Cemetery.
