Mr. John Ridgeley "Johnny" Lewis, age 80, of Fairmont passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.

He was born on December 8, 1945 in Robeson County to the late William Lewis and the late Ruth Rogers Lewis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Mickey, Benny, Stephen, William Thomas, and Richard Lewis; his sisters, Nora Ruth Hembley and Carol Page.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Dorothy Hammonds Lewis of the home; one daughter, Wendy Hammonds of Fairmont, NC; one brother, Charles Lewis (Edna) of Whiteville, NC; one sister, Jean Lushis of Cary, NC; three grandchildren, Bobby Oxendine, Sydney Oxendine, and Adrian Oxendine and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM on Monday June 8th, 2026 at Barnesville Baptist Church. The Funeral will follow at 2:00 PM.

The Burial will follow after the service at Barnesville Community Cemetery.
