John Wicker, Jr., 74, of 197 Orange Street Apt. 109, Fairbluff, died Thursday,
July 24, 2008 at Southeastern Hospice House. He was born to the late John and
Katherine Williams Wicker on March 20, 1934 in Harnett County.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lawson of the home; his step-son, Carl
Lawson of Fairmont; his step-daughter, Rose Herring of Lumberton; 3 brothers,
Roger Lee Britt of Monroe, NC, Hollis Britt of Lumberton and Buddy Britt of
Lumberton; 2 sisters, Shelby Faulk of Lumberton and Carolyn Brock of Monroe,
NC; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Floyd Memory
Gardens at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. George Connor officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 25, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Floyd
Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.
