Mr. John Q. Jacobs, age 83 of 538 Union School Rd.Rowland entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Woodhaven Nursing Center in Lumberton, NC.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Dogwood Baptist Church at 3:00 P.M. with Revs. James Albert Hunt, Roger Strickland and Bishop Kenny Mitchell officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday Evening from 7-9 PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

Preceded in death by his parents; Luther and Flora Hunt Jacobs; a brother, James :Jack? Hunt; two sisters, Sarah Jane Hunt and Irma Neal Locklear.

Born August 1, 1928 in Robeson County.

Survived by his wife, Verda Mae Jacobs of the home; three sons, Johnny Jacobs, James ??Jimmy? Locklear and wife Jennifer and Robbie Junior
\\"Bo\\" Jacobs all of Rowland; five daughters, Diane Hunt and husband Nelson, Mildred Lambert and Doris Locklear all of Rowland, Susan
Locklear and husband Mark of Maxton, Sarah ??Cissy? Hunt and husband Wilton, Jr. of Fairmont, 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; his niece Margaret Chavis of Rowland and five nephews, Leon Locklear of Morrisville, NC; James Albert Hunt, Jackie W. Hunt, Jimmie Hunt all of Rowland and Johnny Hunt of Pembroke;
