John Ashley ??Jack? Jackson, age 76, of Lumberton, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 at his home. He was born in Robeson County on October 15, 1935 to the late John Leary Jackson and the late Sallie Hyatt. He proudly served in the US Air Force. He worked as an insurance agent at Protective Agency and retired after 49 years of service.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Irene Bullock Jackson, of the home; three daughters, Wanda Jackson Huggins and husband Roy, Dawn Jackson Morgan and husband Tony, and Jennifer Jackson Warwick, all of Lumberton; four grandchildren, Brandon Morgan, Jonathan West, Haley Huggins, and Kasey West; and a sister, Doris Jackson Harper of Rowland.

A time of visitation will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, with Rev. Steve Clegg officiating. Burial will follow.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made out to the Building Fund of Clybonville Baptist Church, 1941 Carthage Road, Lumberton, NC 28360
