Mr. John Felton Howell, known as "Bunny", 75, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at Woodhaven Nursing Center in Lumberton. He was born in Halifax County, VA on March 17, 1944, to the late John Wesley Howell and the late Cressie Hammonds Parker. He retired from the City of Lumberton, where he was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Judy Howell, and his daughter, Adrian Howell of Lakeland, FL.

He is survived by five children: Tommy McKellar of Lumberton, Angela Mayes (John) of Lumberton, Joe Howell (Jackie) of Winter Haven, FL, Becky Blue (Dephaney) of Lumberton, and James Howell of Lumberton; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; and six siblings: Pernetha Luttress (Robert) of Gansevoort, NY, Shelby Parker Helgerson of Hope Mills, NC, George V. Parker (Michelle) of Lumberton, Ruthie Parker Watkins (Robert) of Charlotte, NC, Zonnie L. Parker (Gloria) of Lumberton, and Louise Sinclair of Patterson, NJ.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Meadow Missionary Baptist Church, 1057 Pleasant Meadow Road in Lumberton, with Rev. Jerry McCoy and Bishop Roy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the church's cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home following the service and burial.
