Mr. John Frank Burchett, age 78, of Lumberton, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. He was born in Robeson County on February 3, 1935 to the late Luther Lee Burchett and the late Ruby Parnell Burchett. He previously worked as a mechanic for the NC Department of Transportation and served in the US Army. He leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Ann Bullock Burchett, of the home; his son, Wade Luther Burchett of North Myrtle Beach, SC; his daughter, Lisa Burchett Reaves and husband, Howard, of Lumberton; five sisters, Frances Davis, Rebecca Herring and Dot Stephens, all of Lumberton, Barbara Townsend of Lincolnton, NC and Carol Johanson of Ft. Mill, SC; one grandson, Noah Reaves. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 2:00PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton with Rev. Mark Hall officiating.
