Mr. Joseph "Joe" Allen Prevatte, 71, of Tar Heel, NC, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at his home. He was born in Robeson County, NC on August 1, 1950 to the late Lloyd Lawrence Prevatte and the late Aleene Blount Prevatte.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jasper Prevatte.

He is survived by his wife Margerite Bethune Prevatte of the home; a son, Christopher Adam Prevatte and wife of Garner, NC; a stepson, Bryan Bethune and wife Nichole Bergeron of Gainesville, GA; three stepdaughters: Brandi Anderson and husband Trey of Knightsdale, NC and Katrina Anderson and Tara Barth, both of Lumberton, NC; and 12 grandchildren.
