Joe Wayne Flowers of Lumberton, NC passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on October 23, 1955 to the late Billy Joe Flowers, and Ruby Neal Lamb Flowers. Along with his father he was preceded in death by his wife, Gaye Britt. Mr. Flowers is survived by his mother, Ruby Neal Lamb Flowers of Lumberton; brothers, Kenneth Flowers and wife Pauline, David Flowers and wife Melissa, and Stevie Flowers and wife Jennifer all of Lumberton; and a sister, Carolyn Britt and husband, H.T. of Lumberton. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 6:30 PM at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Meadows officiating. A time for visitation will follow the service at the church.
