Joan Elizabeth Britt Jones, age 85, of Fayetteville, NC died on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Carolina Rehab in Fayetteville.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on January 24, 1932 to the late Gilbert and Essie McMillian Britt.  She was a legal secretary for the State of North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joseph McMillian Britt and Edwin Judson Britt; and a sister, Ann Britt Teague.

Mrs. Jones is survived by two sisters, Patty Britt Poche and Mary Rita Britt both of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville with Rev. Rick McDuffie officiating.  A time for visitation will be held following the service.
