Mr. J.N. "Eartle" Emanuel, age 80, of Lumberton, NC, born August 21, 1936, a loving companion, father, and grandfather departed this life on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at his home.  Eartle loved life and his soul mate, Rose.  He was a painter for fifty years and loved NASCAR racing and fishing.

Visitation with the family will take place on Thursday, March 16, 2017 prior to the funeral service from 6:00-7:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.  The funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Pastor Carl Pevia and Pastor Chalmers Kerns officiating.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Emanuel and Lillian Locklear Emanuel; a brother, Jr. Emanuel; and two sons, Eartle B. Emanuel and Eugene Carroll Emanuel.

Mr. Emanuel is survived by his companion of 38 years, Ms. Rose Waltman of Lumberton; a son, Teyko Ray Emanuel of Wilmington; grandchildren, Mr. Zachary Lee Emanuel, Mrs. Taylor Stanley of Whiteville, Js. Amber Leonard of Whiteville; brothers, John (Betty) Emanuel of Wagram, Booty (Linda) Emanuel of Lumberton, Eugene (Virginia) Emanuel, Gelymn (Virginia) Emanuel, and Billy (Jackie) Emanuel of Lumberton; sisters, Faye Hammond, Scarlet (Larry) Thomas of Lumberton, Glois Butler of Pembroke, Deneill Emanuel, Ipana Emanuel, and Debbie Emanuel of Lumberton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
