Jimmy Smith, 65, of 158 Jason Road, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Chapel Hill Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Smith of the home; 2 sons, Kenneth Smith of Elizabethtown and Paul Milligan of the home; 1 daughter, Cheyenne Sampson of the home; 1 brother, Bobby Smith and wife, Kathleen of Lumberton; 2 sisters, Hazel Mussllwhite of Ocean Isle Beach, NC and Betty Smith Ford of Virginia Beach, VA; and 4 step-grandchildren, Ellery Sampson, Edward Sampson, Deana Hunt and Shannon Sampson.
The funeral service will be Friday, May 23, 2008 at Floyd Memorial Chapel at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Russell Kinlaw, Jr. and Rev. Russell Kinlaw, Sr. officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 23, 2008 from 6 to 7 p.m. before the funeral services, at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.
Interment will take place Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in New Hollywood Cemetery.
