Jimmy Alvin Pittman, age 73, of Lumberton, NC died on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Woodhaven Nursing Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 4, 1942 to the late B. Daniel and Augusta Duncan Pittman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billy Pittman, Johnny Pittman, James Wall, and Hutch Wall; and sisters, Ruth Jolly, Helen Chandler, Margie McKenzie, Betty West, Bonnie Barnes, Peggy Cothran, Connie Snell, and Nellie Faye Russ.

Mr. Pittman is survived by his sons, Alvin Pittman (Lisa), Michael Pittman, and Jamie Pittman (Sarah) all of Lumberton; a sister, Janice Smith of Virginia Beach, VA; and six grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 3:00 PM at East Lumberton Church of God with Pastor Bruce Brumfield and Pastor L.F. Hatchell officiating.

A time of visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM at the church and at other times at the home of Alvin Pittman.
