Jimmie Arnette Barnes, age 90, of Orrum passed away Thursday, September 15, 2020 at GlenFlora in Lumberton, NC.

He was born May 1, 1930 in Robeson County, NC to the late Russell Barnes and Katie Bullock Barnes.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers, McHoyte and Charles Barnes.

He is survived by two sisters, Laura Ann Thorndyke and husband Sammy of Orrum, NC and Betty Walters-Cribbs and husband David of Calabash, NC; nieces Kathy Bullard and Kayla Ward; nephews Sammy Barnes, Sandy Thorndyke, and Russ Thorndyke and a host of other nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 1:00-2:00pm at Bloomingdale Baptist Church.

A Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm at Bloomingdale Church with Pastor Tommy Fields officiating.

Memorials may be made to Bloomingdale Baptist Church.
