Jimmy Bain Smith, age 77, of Fairmont, NC, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021, at his home. He was born October 19, 1943, in Robeson County to the late Herisal Smith and Martha Arnette Smith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Matthew Art Smith, and a brother, James Herisal Smith.

Jimmy enjoyed a number of past times including woodworking, fishing, gardening, and spending time on the farm with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Smith of the home; two daughters, Laura Smith Rivenbark and husband Eric and Lindy Smith Weaver and husband Daniel, all of North Myrtle Beach, SC; and six grandchildren" Chloe, Landon, Tucker, Lilly, Ella, and Baines.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, from 2:00-3:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Fairmont, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral worship service will be held at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont, NC.
