Jimmie Herring Rogers, age 86, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at UNC Southeastern Regional Medical Center. Jimmie was born in Robeson County on June 1, 1938 to Luther David Herring and Maxine Owens Herring. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Jimmy Owen Rogers, siblings; Chester Leroy Herring, Johnny Mae Haman, Dixie Lee Barnes, Jack Herring, William Horace "Pete" Herring, and Ella "Bill" Little, son-in-law; Louis Gregory Rawls.

Jimmie worked in the cafeteria at Tanglewood Elementary School for many years. She loved her church and worshipping with her church family when her health would allow her to do so. She did not like to be disturbed while she was watching her favorite television shows; "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy." Jimmie loved to eat and to try new foods and dishes.

Jimmie is survived by her daughters; Elizabeth Ann Rogers Rawls and Tammie Rogers Bullock and husband Kenneth, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, brother; Luther David Herring and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 Fayetteville Rd, Lumberton, NC.
