Ms. Jimmie Ree Ransom Oxendine, of Lumberton, NC, departed this life on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at UNC Southeastern Health in Lumberton, making her journey of 69 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Grady Ransom; mother, Ellree Ransom; a sister, Linda Hunt; and a brother, Willie D. Ransom.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Nicole Ransom of Lumberton; a son, Timothy Ransom (Brenda) of Skipper, Va.; three grandsons, Michael Ransom and Cameron Smith, both of Lumberton and Tyler Ransom of Skipper, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Mellodi Ransom and Kaden Ransom, both of Lumberton; three brothers, Grady Ransom, Jr. (Jessie) and Joseph Ransom, both of Fairmont, and Bruce Ransom (Sue); a sister, Peggy Ransom (Dwight) of Pembroke, NC; a special cousin, mother, and aunt all in one, Bernice Hunt of Lumberton; a special great-niece, Alicia Locklear; and a special great-great-niece, Aaliyah Goins; and a host of nieces, nephews, special relatives and friends.

The visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday July 26, 2022 at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory Inc. in Lumberton. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday July 27, 2022 at Grace Baptist Church in Lumberton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
