Jimmie Lee McVicker, 84, U.S. Army Veteran of Lumberton, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 21, 2023.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Christine Floyd McVicker, and one sister, Doris Faulk.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Locklear McVicker; his children: Jimmie McVicker, Jr. and wife Jennifer, Christopher McVicker and wife Lydia, James Patrick McVicker and wife Cassie, and Christina McVicker Locklear and husband Jammie; 11 grandchildren: Jacob Lee McVicker, LaFredrick Lamar Perry, Romesh LaVenta Perry, Christopher McVicker, Jr., Myeisha Renee Perry, Tristan Dain McVicker , Brooklyn Nicole McVicker, Addison Grey McVicker, Bryonna Jaylyn Locklear, Kaylyn Christina Locklear, and Jayme Claireese Locklear. He also leaves behind his honorary brothers, Mr. Elton Britt and Mr. Leo Stone.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 3:00-4:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM with Rev. Josh West and Rev. Anthony Hardin officiating.
