Jimmie Ray Brooks, age 35, of Louisiana, and formerly of Fairmont, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont at 2:00PM with Rev. Cleo Norton officiating. Burial will follow in the Brooks Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 1:00-2:00PM prior to the services at Floyd Funeral Services. Brooks was born October 20, 1979 in Irdell County. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Willa Brooks, and Phil Emanuel and Hazel Baker. He leaves to cherish his memories, a daughter, Catherine Brooks of Fairmont; his parents, Gerald and Phyllis Brooks of Fairmont; a brother, Kenneth Brooks of St.Pauls; and a sister, Tabatha Brooks of Fairmont; three nieces, Jaelynn, Brianna, and Alyvia.
