Mr. James "Jim" Lee Pate, 72, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on October 3, 1949 to the late Ottis Lee Pate and the late Betty Pate Hardin. He was an automotive technician with Lumberton Honda for many years.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Robert Pate, and his sister, Sharon Irene Pate.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cynthia Pate of the home; his son, James Morgan Pate of Wilmington, NC; his grandchildren, Matthew Ian Pate and Zoey Jayne Strickland; three brothers: Ira Dales Pate (Yvonne), Leon Earl "Bud" Pait (Erica), and Michael Thomas Pate, all of Lumberton, NC; two sisters, Debra Pate of Lumberton, NC and Cindy Green (Ronald) of Indianapolis, IN; special nieces and nephew, Connie McLamb, Amanda Coffey, Miriam Little, and Ryan Green; and special friends, Susanne Hayes and Kathy Mayers.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the service, the family will receive friends and loved ones at the funeral home.
