Mr. Jessie Franklin Stone, Jr., age 69, of Lumberton, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on November 20, 1941 to the late Jessie Franklin and Anna Mae Britt Stone.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Colleen Speights and Elsie Rowan.

Mr. Stone is survived by his wife, Judy L. Stone, of the home; two sons, Jay Stone of Lumberton, NC and Jon Stone and wife, Sandra of Wilmington, NC; one daughter, Sara Little and husband, Darrell of Lumberton, NC; one sister, Billie Jean Barnes of York, SC; seven grandchildren, Jesse, Kara, Jessica, Jonathan, Abby, Brianna and Lauren; and several nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11:00AM at Long Branch Baptist Church in Lumberton with Pastor Jeff Broadwell, Rev. Randolph Browning and Pastor Darrell Little. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
