Jessie Pittman Britt, age 95, of Lumberton, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Highland Acres Nursing Facility in Lumberton.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on August 6, 1922 to the late Gregory Pittman and the late Hattie Willoughby Pittman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Claude Branch.

Mrs. Britt is survived by her husband, James "Sonny Boy" Britt of Lumberton; her son, Danny Smith of Lumberton; two daughters, Melba Blake (Adam) of Raeford and Jean Skinner (Richard) of Lumberton; a brother, Matthew Pittman of Lumberton; two sisters, Dorothy Britt of Decatur, GA and Lillian Long of Woburn, MA; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 1:00-3:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will follow on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 3:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. LeRoy Burke officiating.  Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton.
