Mr. Jesse Livingston Britt, also known as "Buddy", age 83, of Lumberton, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on March 1, 1936 to the late Labon Britt and the late Clelia Prevatte Britt.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Edna Joyce Britt Lawson.

He is survived  by his wife, Laura Betty Britt of the home; three sons: William Britt of Wilmington, NC, Tracy Britt of Lumberton, and Phillip Britt (Jillian) of Atlanta, GA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Morris Britt (Elva) and Carlton Britt, all of Lumberton; and one sister, Betty Lawson (George) of Lumberton.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall of Broad Ridge Baptist Church, 949 N. Broadridge Road in Orrum.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Broad Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Ivey officiating. Burial will follow at the church's cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Broad Ridge Baptist Church General Fund, 949 N. Broadridge Road, Orrum, NC  28369.
