Jerry Clayton McKinnon, age 57, of Orrum, NC was born October 7, 1966 transitioned to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Crissy Ann Adams McKinnon; his parents, Otis McKinnon and Ruby Lee McKinnon, as well as his bonus father, John Hayes McCollum.

To know Jerry was to love him! He was a loving, caring, and outgoing husband, father, brother, and friend. If you had a friend in him, you had a friend for life.

He leaves to cherish his memory his five loving children: Tonya Green-Wyatt (Vernon), Joshua Lakeen Thomas (Shakila), Gerri Alicia McKinnon (Donald), Jazmine Cheynia McKinnon (Derrick),  and Jacqualine Clarissa McKinnon (Daqwuan); his grandchildren whom he loved dearly; his three brothers: Henry Morrison, Charles McKinnon (Teresa), and Robert Lee McKinnon; special niece, Tamika McKinnon; special nephews, Jonathan Locklear and Chris Cox; close friends, Michael and, Miranda Russell, their children, Mariah, Camron and Kylon, the Britt Family, Johnnie Jacobs, his sister, Angela, Gregory "Butch" Campbell, his sister, Jerry Britt "McKinnon", and a host of other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel, 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont, NC.
