Mr. Jerry Lee Justice III, age 25, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Lumberton, NC. He was born on October 8, 2000, in Lumberton, NC to Barbara Mitchell and Jerry Lee Justice, Jr.

Lee grew up in Lumberton and went on to graduate from Lumberton Senior High School in 2020. Lee was loved by so many and will truly be missed.

Lee had a deep passion for music. Whether he was at home, visiting friends, or walking around, music was a constant source of joy and expression in his life. Those who knew him will always remember his smile, love for children, and vibrant spirit. He truly lived life on his own terms and brought a unique energy to every room he walked into. He never met anyone he didn't eventually make friends with. He was very kindhearted and did whatever he could for whoever.

His mama will always remember his smile and will miss how he would always tell her "I love you, girl". She will always remember cooking his favorite meal of spaghetti and how his favorite movie was "Forrest Gump". He loved playing basketball and going out to eat. Above all, he just enjoyed life.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pearline Hunt and Mary Justice, and his nephew, Treyvon "T.J." Mitchell.

Lee is survived by his parents, Barbara Mitchell and Jerry Lee Justice, Jr.; his siblings: Willard "JoJo" Hunt (Janell), Carrie Hunt, Bobby "Ray" Mitchell (Sherry), Crystal McKenzie ("Ant"), Phylicia Mitchell, Jonathan Mitchell, Lashawn Mitchell, and Jordan Justice; and a niece-in-law, Te'leia Lesane. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews: Fancy, Lagayle, Kaysen, Andrew, Cameron, Joseph, Christian, Nathaniel, Derrick, Linda Grace, Kirslyn, Christen, Jasmine, Cae'leia, A'norah, Selena, Jair, and Nayeli; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 3:00 PM with Pastor Cissy Caulder officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
