Jerry Hunt, 64, of Fairmont, NC passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 9, 2019, surrounded by his loving family, at Reid Heart Center in Pinehurst, NC. He was born on March 18, 1954, to the late, Grace Oxendine. He married Earlene Huggins Hunt on December 8,1972. He attended school at Fairgrove High School. He worked in the textile industry at Converse and owned a lawn care landscaping business for over 40 years. Jerry was well known in the community for his big smile, trustworthiness, humble heart, and willingness to always help others. He was a member of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to Sunday School and participated in the Married, Young Adult-II class. He happily served on the grounds and graveyard committee.

He is survived by his wife, Earlene H. Hunt; a daughter Lucinda Hunt and husband, Patrick Hunt; granddaughters Haley Oxendine, and Kiley Oxendine, and their father, Christopher Oxendine, as well as a host of family, friends, and lives he touched through service.

Visitation will occur at Floyd Funeral Services, Fairmont, NC on Monday, February 11, 2019, from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral and graveside services will be held at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at 2:00pm. The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of prayers, love, and support through this time.
