Mr. Jerry Wayne Hinson, 74, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022. He was born in Robeson County, NC on August 26, 1947.

Jerry was a friend to many and loved his family deeply. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed socializing (with nearly everyone in Robeson County), hunting and fishing, going to church, telling stories, and spending time with "his girls" (Dawn, Sandra, and Ashlynn). He was a very kind and humble man and he will be profoundly missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Ernest T. Hinson.

He is survived by his mother, Jessie Mae "Macie" Hinson; a daughter, Dawn Cox; two grandchildren, Sandra Kayce Cox and Ashlynn LeNae Cox; a brother, Ernie Hinson (Sharon); and a sister, Jackie McAllister (Jimmy) of Valrico, FL; and a nephew, Craig Hinson.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM at New Life Church, 3990 Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Tim Williford officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
