Mrs. Jerri Hewell Logan, 78, of Lumberton, NC, went home to be with Jesus, on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, while at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC surrounded by family and a close friend. She was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on August 23, 1943 to the late John W. Hewell and the late Wilma Elmore Hewell.

She will be remembered as a loving mother and a wonderful friend. She had a love for sports, especially for her Carolina Tar Heels. She was a former resident of N. Myrtle Beach, SC and she spent the last 5 years as a resident of Wesley Pines Nursing Home in Lumberton, NC. She was a past member of First Baptist Church of Lumberton for many years and a current member of Trinity United Methodist Church in N. Myrtle Beach, SC.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Logan.

She is survived by two sons, Morris Jay Bennett, Jr. of N. Myrtle Beach, SC and Timothy Lynn Soles and wife Carol of Kannapolis, NC; four grandchildren: Hannah Soles, Jennings Logan Plymale, Jordan Logan, and Hunter McDuffie; a great-grandchild, Royce Plymale; two special friends, Sallie Baxley of Lumberton, NC and Linda Barnes of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; and several cousins, extended family, and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff and nurses of Wesley Pines and Southeastern Hospice House for their compassion and excellent care of Jerri.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Sharon Memorial Park, 5176 Monroe Road in Charlotte, NC.
