Jerrel Poe Sessoms' Obituary
Jerrel Poe Sessoms, age 77, of Lumberton, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born February 1, 1940 in Robeson County to the late Clarence and Vera Arnette Sessoms.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by two brothers: Belton Sessoms and wife Cherry and Bobby Sessoms and wife Phyllis; a nephew and two nieces: Belton Sessoms, Jr., Melissa Evans, and Dana Robinson and husband Garrett; and his close friend, Billie A. Edington.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017, at 1:00 PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery with Rev. Joe Bounds officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 602 N. Walnut Street, Lumberton, NC 28358.
