Jeremie Tedder "Ted" Nunnery, age 42, of Lumberton, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on October 18, 1980.  He attended and graduated from UNC-Greensboro and Gardner-Webb University.  Ted was a teacher with the Public Schools of Robeson County where he previously taught at Rowland Middle School and South Robeson Intermediate School. He was the proud recipient of Robeson County Teacher of the Year in 2014.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hilton & Betty Tedder and his paternal grandparents, Jack & Daisy Nunnery.

Ted is survived by his parents, Jerry and Debbie Nunnery, of the home; his brother, Jamie Stuart Pittman of Lumberton; his nephew, Trey Pittman of Goldsboro; special friends, Brooke McLellan (Tray) of Fairmont, Heather Wilson (Travis) of Leland, Davey Edge (Julie) and Adam Bruce, all of Lumberton; his aunts and uncles, Jeff Tedder (Brenda) of Loris, SC, Greg Tedder of Ft. Lauderdale, Jack Nunnery, Jr. (Vicki) of Boiling Springs, NC, Larry Nunnary (Ann) of Tarheel and Terry Nunnary (Gloria) of Lumberton and many cousins and extended family members.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton and to HealthKeeperz Hospice for all of their compassion and care, including Dr. Robin Peace, hospice nurse Ed Chavis, and CNA Darla Locklear.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road, Lumberton with Rev. Mitch Tyner officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
