Jenny Lee Hayes, age 58, of Lumberton, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on December 2, 1965 to the late Gerald Mitchell Hayes and the late Melba Jean Barnes Hayes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Martin and Edna Earl Hayes; her maternal grandparents, Hubert and Eva Barnes; her uncles, Hubert "Son" Barnes, Jr. and Tommy Barnes; and her aunt, Kathy Hayes Edwards.

She is survived by her cousins, Joe Hayes (Crystal) and their son, Stephen, all of Bladenboro, NC, Colie Whitlock (Heather) of Pleasant Garden, NC, and Amanda Graham (Kevin) of Pembroke, NC; her aunts and uncles, Jennings Hayes (Anne), Johnny Barnes (Saria), Sandra Bishop (Roger), Kathy Barnes, and Kenny Barnes (Mary), all of Lumberton, NC; her very special friend, Susie Spillman Brisson (Michael) of Lumberton, NC; and many cousins, friends, and extended family members.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Pastor Johnny Bruce officiating.  Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton.
