Jeffrey Mark Byrd, age 55, of Lumberton, NC, departed this life on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Jeff was born on Sunday, November 17, 1968 in Lumberton, NC to the late Charles Byrd, Sr. and Clearia Davis Byrd.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Sim Byrd, and his in-laws, Hartman "Doc" and Ora Lee Hammonds.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 32 years, Denise Hammonds Byrd; three sons, Jeffrey Mark Byrd, Jr. (Christina), Jonathan Byrd, and Corey Byrd; one grandson, Kendell Hartman Byrd; two brothers, Charles Edward Byrd, Jr. and Michael Anthony Byrd, Sr.; a sister-in-law, Felicia Hammonds; a brother-in-law, Jason Hammonds; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory.
