Jeffery Craig Locklear, 63, of Lumberton, NC, passed away peacefully at his home on May 25, 2025.

Jeffery was preceded in death by his father, James Arnold Locklear and step son, Erik Locklear.

Jeffery was a beloved son, brother, and friend. He was a lifelong resident of North Carolina, where he shared many meaningful moments with his family and friends. Jeffrey worked for many years as an insulator, a trade he took pride in and through which he built lasting friendships and a reputation for dedication and dependability. Jeffery will be remembered for his quiet strength, strong spirit, kindness, and the love he had for his family. He touched the lives of those around him and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Hazel Locklear of the home; his brothers, James Anthony Locklear of the home, Terry Jaron Locklear (Christina) of Mt. Olive, NC, Michael Lynn Hunt (Norma) of Lumbeton, NC; his sisters, Wanda Kaye Locklear, Cindy Lavera Williamson both of Fairmont, NC; Tabatha Jean Williams of Lumberton, NC, Jawanna Lynn Locklear (Marc) of Chadbourn, NC; two special friends Red and Brother Man; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to honor Jeffrey's life will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont, NC from 6:00-8:00PM. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to your local animal shelter in memory of Jeffrey, who had a great love for animals and is a gesture he would have cherished.
