Jeff
Lovette
Apr 23, 1958 — Apr 1, 2023
Lumberton
On Saturday, April 1, 2023, Thomas Jeffrey Lovette went home to be with the Lord. He was a Robeson County native who was preceded in death by his father and mother, Thomas Jefferson Lovette and Sarah Margaret Norman Lovette, both of the home.
In his 64 years of life, Jeffrey left his mark on this world as one of God's special people and to know him was to know how much he loved God and people. He was his parents' only child and he was cherished and treasured.
Jeffrey was a proud member of the Boy Scouts of America. Jeffrey loved going to Fort Fisher and riding the ferry. Jeffrey had a great sense of humor and had a love of sports. He loved to watch golf – he was a big fan of Tiger Woods – basketball and Michael Jordan, football, and NASCAR racing. If you spent much time with him, you soon found this out. Jeffrey had attended church with his beloved mother while he was physically able and then participated with church groups at Harbor View Nursing Facility.
For the last 18 years, Jeffrey was a beloved extended member of the Sellers-Dove Family of Lumberton and was loved by all.
He leaves behind his legal guardian, Jill Sellers Dove and husband Kevin of Lumberton, NC, and two special sisters, Victoria Sellers Musselwhite (Brandon) of Lumberton, NC and a very special baby sister, Kaylie Dove.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Gardens of Faith of Cemetery, 5190 N. Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, NC, with Rev. Russell Kinlaw, Sr. officiating.
In lieu of flowers, make a donation to Make A Wish Foundation in honor of Jeffrey at: www.wish.org .
