Jeffery Aaron Hunt, affectionately known as "Jeff," passed away peacefully at the age of 52 on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

A devoted husband and proud father, Jeff is survived by his high school sweetheart, April Hunt, and their two children, Jarron Hunt and Ariel Hunt.

Born on June 4,1973, Jeff was the beloved son of the late Leo "Billy" Hunt and Rose Hunt. He is also remembered by his brothers, Sean Hunt (wife Christie Hunt) and Ryan Hunt (wife Brooke Hunt), as well as his niece Shayla Hunt and nephews Zack Hunt, Jadarius Hunt, Lakes Hunt, Rivers Hunt.

Jeff's legacy continues through his grandchild by love, A'riyah "Ri Ri", and the many family members and friends who became family over the years. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Jeffery was a simple man who cherished country living and found joy in farming, which was truly his life's passion. He valued tradition and was not fond of change, embodying a quiet strength that could also fill a room. Jeff appreciated the little things—like the moon and plants—and always saw the good in people and situations. Once you became Jeff's friend, you were a friend for life.

He loved the peaceful pace of country life, driving 35 mph, and caring for roosters, peacocks, and cows. Jeff was content with what he had and never needed anything extra. Through every challenge, he kept his faith, never blamed God, and remained grateful for small blessings, such as being able to stand even when his body was weak.

Jeff and April Hunt shared 35 wonderful years together and raised two children, Jarron Hunt and Ariel Hunt. They shared a strong love and made memories that will last a lifetime.

He found delight in watching Looney Tunes—especially Foghorn Leghorn—enjoyed every episode of Andy Griffith and House of Payne and had a sweet spot for Hershey's Chocolate Bars and Reese's Cups. Jeff loved planting and watching things grow, frying fish, and spending time with family and friends.

He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, unwavering positivity, and the love he shared with all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont.

Funeral services will be Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 2:00PM at Fairpoint Freewill Baptist Church, 1862 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church Cemetery, 3396 Iona Church Road, Fairmont.
