Mrs. Jean Huggins Rogers, age 61 of Fairmont passed away Wednesday, April 30 2014 at her home after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11:00AM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont. Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:30-8:30pm at Floyd Funeral Services. She was born July 22, 1952 in Robeson County. Jean was a member of Fairmont First Baptist Church for thirty years. She also retired from the Social Security Administration after thirty-eight years of service. She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Huggins; her in-laws, David and Burnell Rogers. She is survived by her husband, Keith Rogers of the home; one daughter, Crystal Rogers of the home; one son, Benton Rogers of Fairmont; a grandson, Bradley Floyd and a special friend, David Floyd; her mother, Sara Huggins of Lumberton; a brother, Gerald Huggins and wife Debbie of Waco, Texas; three sisters, Sara Ann Rogers and husband Carl of Orrum, Faye Taylor and husband James of McDonald and Diane Ash and husband Bill of Lumberton; also eight nieces and nephews that were very special to her. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
