Mrs. Jean Carol Ransom, age 71, of Bladenboro and formerly of Fairmont, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 11:00AM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. She was born December 8, 1942 in Robeson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewitt Lockley and Dollie Black Lockley. She is survived by her husband, Franklin Ransom of the home; four sons, David and Paul Ransom both of Fairmont, Daniel and Tony Ransom both of Bladenboro; two daughters, Mitsu R. Kling and Debbie Ransom both of Fairmont; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
