Mrs. Jean Mercer Floyd, age 91, of Whiteville, formerly of Fairmont, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Shoreland Healthcare Center in Whiteville, NC. She was born in Eastman, GA on September 6, 1921 to the late Neal Arthur Mercer and the late Mary Elizabeth Mullis Mercer. Mrs. Floyd is survived by her son, George Guthrie Floyd, Jr. (Beth) of Lake Waccamaw, NC; her daughter, Mary Jean Floyd Prince (Carlton) of Whiteville, NC; five grandchildren, Ashley Jackson (Danny), Megan Jarrell (Andy), Adam Prince, Cameron Floyd and Tyler Floyd and five great-grandchildren.
