JD "Butch" Deboise passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.

Butch was born in Bladen County on March 12, 1955, to the late JD Deboise, Sr. and Edna Gray Deboise. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Phillips.

Butch is survived by his mother, Edna Deboise of the home; a sister, Deborah Brigman and husband Vernon of Lumberton; and two sons, Jamie Deboise and Justin Deboise.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton, with the Rev. Michael Bowen officiating.
