JC Brooks, Jr., 73, of 7981 Ansonville-Polkton Road, died Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Carolina Medical
Center-Union. He was born to the late JC Brooks, Sr. and Ada Mae Oxendine Brooks in Robeson County
on October 4, 1934.
He was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Jerry and John Charles Brooks; and a brother, Steve Brooks.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen ??Kat? Locklear Brooks of Polkton, NC; 2 sons, Dwight Brooks of
Lumberton and Anthony Brooks of Fairmont; 4 daughters, Brenda Stevens of Edgewood, MD., Teresa
Brooks of Red Springs, Lola Deese of Maxton and Sonya Murray of Fairmont; 3 step-sons, Johnny Dial,
Jr., Richard Dial both of Samson, AL and Donny Dial of Wadesboro; 5 sisters, Adell Clark of Lakeview,
SC, Pauline Jones, Myrna Britt, Virginia Emanuel and Foncine Hunt all of Lumberton, NC; 20
grandchildren; a special granddaughter, Clara Lisa Brooks of Clemmons, NC; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The fuenral service will be Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at Floyd Memorial Chapel.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Floyd Mortuary &
Crematory, Inc., and other times at 150 Offie Jones Road, Lumberton, NC.
